A scary ‘gramming experience.

it was rushing, angry, fierce. If I was floating & was pulled out by it, I would be gone. If I was standing in it and lost my balance, I would be gone: the billabong was on the edge of a cliff, and beyond that was an expanse of churning ocean.

That time.. I got lip fillers and anti-wrinkle injections (at age 23!)

So when I balance out the idea of not having to put a face on all summer to feel confident in my own skin (it only washes off in the ocean anyway!) with my fear of needles and pain and anything mildly unpleasant, stepping out of my comfort zone and into the capable hands of a gorgeous SILK Laser cosmetic nurse to undergo some real-life cosmetic injectable treatments won out- just.

The Beach is for Everyone.

My love affair with the beach is absolutely hereditary. A little less ‘The Graduate’ and a little more like passing on a precious heirloom, all of my memories of my mum at her happiest involve a bottle of Palmer’s Coconut Suntan Oil, a faded pink-and-white-striped beach umbrella and sun, sand & crystal blue for as…

#thelivealittlesummer

It’s about getting off your bum and doing the heck out of this life, rather than just being alive. It’s about surrounding yourself with people, places, experiences that your soul can’t help but soak up and adore like crazy. It’s about balmy nights, sundown sessions, crystal clear water, early morning starts, endless laughter, getting your…

Shangri-La (La La Laaa)

Tucked up a flight of stairs on Hindley’s busiest strip, Shangri-La is a balanced blend of modern karaoke bar, private…

One for the small town kids.

This is an ode to the boys and girls that came from the middle of nowhere, and found themselves as small fish in a big town sea. You might have spent your toddlerhood on a station, kindergarten in the bush, (in my case) the first eight years of your life in a tiny seaside town…

How to be alone at uni without being lonely.

As a seasoned life do-er and apparently mature aged student, university is a very different experience for me than it is for most of my classmates; a tribe of young and fresh faced humans who have graduated in the last year or so. A majority of them seem to be deep in University culture- studying 3-5…

we bought a house!

Hellooooo gorgeous you! It’s a damn long time between drinks, for which I wholeheartedly apologise. The truth is, I’ve been  i n s a n e l y  busy BECAUSE (wait for it), we bought a house! The whole process has been an absolute time and creativity investing process which meant that a few things…

2015 in review x

Your Facebook feed is undoubtedly full of posts about the year that has been, the year that will be and all of life’s trials and triumphs today, so it seems almost fitting that I add to the chorus. 2015 has been the wildest, hardest, most wonderful year of my life thus far. It has been…

“wherever you are, be all there.”

*or, the reason that I am so bad at replying to “hey how are you” messages on facebook and why I am okay with that. At the time of writing (23rd December 2015, 4:11PM) it is a Wednesday afternoon and I have been told six times this week that I am juggling too much, that…
